MAINTAINED SCHOOLS AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS |
| England and Wales |
| 52. A community, foundation or voluntary school or a community or foundation special school within the meaning of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998. |
| 53. A maintained nursery school within the meaning of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998. |
| 54. A pupil referral unit as defined by section 19(2) of the Education Act 1996. |
| 55. An institution conducted by a further education corporation established under section 15 or 16 of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992. |
| 56. A designated institution for the purposes of Part I of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 as defined by section 28(4) of that Act. |
| 57. A university receiving financial support under section 65 of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992. |
| 58. An institution conducted by a higher education corporation established under section 121 or 122 of the Education Reform Act 1988. |
| 59. A designated institution for the purposes of Part II of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 as defined by section 72(3) of that Act. |
| 60. - (1) Any college, school, hall or other institution of a university which falls within paragraph 57. |

(2) In sub-paragraph (1) "college" includes any institution in the nature of a college. |
| Northern Ireland |
| 61. A controlled or voluntary school within the meaning of Article 2(2) of the Education and Libraries (Northern Ireland) Order 1986. |
| 62. A grant-maintained integrated school within the meaning of Article 2(2) of the Education and Libraries (Northern Ireland) Order 1986. |
| 63. A university receiving financial support under Article 30 of the Education and Libraries (Northern Ireland) Order 1993. |
| 64. A college of education maintained in pursuance of arrangements under Article 66(1) or in respect of which grants are paid under Article 66(2) or (3) of the Education and Libraries (Northern Ireland) Order 1986. |
| 65. An institution of further education within the meaning of the Further Education (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 or an institution providing further education in respect of which grants are paid under Article 5(1)(b) of that Order. |
