| Expenses. |
4. There shall be paid out of money provided by Parliament any increases attributable to this Act in the sums so payable under any other enactment.

| Interpretation. |
5. In this Act-

| |
"appropriate local authority officer" means a person fully trained in all aspects of requiring information from members of the public and in the execution of any necessary enforcement action who is authorised in writing by the relevant local authority to do so; |
| |
"cetacean" means any animal in the order cetacea; |
| |
"motorised marine leisure vessel" means a motorised water craft used for leisure purposes and includes mechanically powered pleasure craft propelled by water jet. |
| Short title, commencement and extent. |
6. - (1) This Act may be cited as the Marine Wildlife Protection Act 2000.

(2) This Act shall come into force two months after the date on which it is passed.
|
| |
(3) This Act extends to England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
