Clause     41,     page     26,     line     5,     at end insert 'if the following conditions are met.

    The conditions are—

      (a) the offender was aged 18 or over on the date of the offence;

      (b) it is proved—

      (i) he is dependent on a Class A drug; and

      (ii) the misuse by the offender of a specified Class A drug caused or contributed to the offence;

      (c) the person concerned has been convicted of a trigger offence;

      (d) the court is satisfied that an appropriate programme of drug treatment is available and can be provided for the offender.'.
