Petition to the Scottish Parliament
DIAGNOSIS AND
TREATMENT OF
PATIENTS SUFFERING
ILL HEALTH
FROM EXPOSURE
TO ORGANOPHOSPHATES
The Organophosphate Information Network (Scotland)
submits this Petition calling on the Scottish Parliament to investigate
why the Department of Health has made no effort, over the past
50 years, to provide appropriate specialist referral for effective
clinical diagnosis and treatment for those patients suffering
chronic ill health through exposure to organophosphate chemicals
and furthermore failing to provide training and guidance for General
Practitioners to assess and diagnose ill health caused by exposure
to organophosphates.
I enclose evidence and opinion supporting the
Petition and will be pleased to appear in person to answer any
questions the Scottish Parliament may have.
