REPORT AND ACCOUNTS OF THE BBC FOR 1999-2000:
RESPONSES FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND THE BBC TO THE NINTH REPORT
FROM THE CULTURE, MEDIA AND SPORT COMMITTEE, SESSION 1999-2000
On 2 August 2000 we published our Ninth Report of
Session 1999-2000 on the Report and Accounts of the BBC for 1999-2000
as House of Commons paper number 719. On 2 October we received
the Government's response to this Report in the form of a letter
from the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport to the
Chairman of the Committee. On 24 October we received the BBC's
response to this Report. We are publishing both these documents
as Appendices to this Special Report.
