Select Committee on Defence Appendices to the Minutes of Evidence

APPENDIX 5

Letter to the Clerk of the Committee from the Chief Executive, War Pensions Agency, 6 March 2000

I have only recently received a copy of a letter to you dated 10 December 1999 from a Michael Morse of Provincial House, 2a Low Ousegate, York (although he now writes from Fox Hayes solicitors, 150 Roundhay Road, Leeds)[9].

This provided the Committee with certain information relating to "Gulf War Syndrome" and, in particular comments relating to a Mr S Rusling of the National Gulf Veterans and Families Association.

I have strong concerns about the accuracy of some of the letter's content and I enclose a copy of my response to Mr Morse on the points he raises (Annex 1).

  I hope this is useful.
