TotalMen WomenEthnic Minority Disabled
Divisional Managers and Equivalents134 98361 3
Directors2216 600
Board Members76 100

Note: in addition to the one member of an ethnic minority shown in the table:

    —  at 1 December 1999 one ethnic minority member of the SCS at divisional-manager level was on secondment to a non-departmental public body; and

    —  on 1 January 2000 one person from an ethnic minority went on loan to another government department on promotion to divisional-manager-level.

This means that, currently, three of DfEE's SCS cadre are from an ethnic minority.

The table includes those staff on temporary promotion into the SCS and those on secondment to other organisations who are covered by DfEE's pay arrangements. It includes staff on loan from other government departments but not those on loan to other departments.
