7.  OUTCOMES

  7.1  It is anticipated that 50 to 60 participants will pass through the project, 70 per cent of whom will achieve either employment or further education outcomes. (Based on similar local ILM schemes—Groundwork etc.)

  7.2  By the end of the two-year period the organisation will have established a recruitment agency role for local builders to access qualified workers or trainees either on a permanent or a job rotation basis. This reputation will be enhanced by the focus on quality of training provided.

  7.3  The project will provide added value to mainstream funding by levering in a higher proportion of Objective 1 and private sector funding.

  7.4  The project will create a work ethic within the client group who will be willing to participate by being guaranteed a wage in excess of their benefit allowance with a built in "no penalty" clause.
