Inquiry into employability and jobs: is there a job
gap?
I write in reply to your Circular 506/99 and would
like to comment as follows:
A. We feel that there is a geographical gap affecting
specialist computer jobs.
C. We have not had any enquiries from Employment
Services or the public regarding New Deal.
E. Examples of good practice—National Traineeships,
Modern Apprenticeships, Jobwise placements. These schemes all
work well and often provide trained individuals for appointment
when vacancies arise.
