The Committee deliberated.
Draft Report (The Greening Government Initiative:
first Annual Report from the Green Ministers Committee, 1998/99),
proposed by the Chairman, brought up and read.
Ordered, That the draft
Report be read a second time, paragraph by paragraph.
Paragraph 1 read and postponed.
Paragraphs 2 to 57 read and agreed to.
Postponed Paragraph 1 again read and agreed to.
Resolved, That the Report
be the Fifth Report of the Committee to the House.
Ordered, That the Chairman
do make the Report to the House.
Ordered, That the following
Papers be appended to the Report:
1) Memorandum from Calor
Gas UK;
2) Memorandum from the Council for the Protection
of Rural England; and
3) Memorandum from English Nature.
Ordered, That the Appendices
to the Report be reported to the House.-(The Chairman).
Ordered, That the provisions
of Standing Order No. 134 (Select committees (reports)) be applied
to the Report.
