ACCESS MODE TO KENT STATIONS

  4.9  In the morning peak period, 60 per cent of passengers arrive on foot at Kent stations while 31 per cent arrive by car or taxi. Of those arriving by car, 54 per cent parked at the railway station car park. Only 5 per cent and 3 per cent arrive by bus and motorcycle/pedal cycle respectively (Figure 4.2).

  4.10  There is a similar pattern of access in the inter-peak (1000-1600) period with 71 per cent of BR passengers arriving on foot and 17 per cent by car. Some 8 per cent arrive by bus in this period and only 2 per cent by motorcycle/pedal cycle (Figure 4.3).
