Select Committee on Environment, Transport and Regional Affairs Appendices to the Minutes of Evidence

Letter to Mr George Scarrott from Wroughton Parish Council

Following your telephone call regarding the matter of travelling fairs being raised in the Houses of Parliament, I am pleased to inform you that Wroughton Parish Council supports your visits of once a year in the Maunsell Way Recreation Ground. You have always co-operated fully with any request from the Parish Council regarding finishing times and vacating the field.

Members agreed to support your visits to Wroughton as they are a relic of the fair visiting Wroughton in years gone by for the "Wroughton Feast" and then for the Carnival.

Julia A Robins (Mrs)

Clerk to the Council
