THE ROAD HAULAGE INDUSTRY
Herewith the following additional information
requested.
(1) A paper on "flagging out".
(2) Details of some companies that have downsized
or become bankrupt.
(3) Details of the cost implications regarding
the Working Time Directive.
Missing is the relevant information regarding
pay rates for eastern European drivers. Rather than provide the
Committee with anecdotal information we are surveying other trade
associations for information. I will provide you with the results
of that work as soon as possible but if you need something more
immediately then please do not hesitate to call me.
