The European Parliament
Whereas the Amsterdam Treaty lays down
a limit of 700 members for the European Parliament.
Having regard to the European Commission's
Agenda 2000.
Having regard to constraints on Parliamentary
space both within the Brussels and the Strasbourg complexes.
1. Proposes the following distribution of seats
for a European Union of 21 Member States:
