ASSISTANCE TO
KOSOVO
I refer to our telephone conversation yesterday in
which you asked for clarification of figures for EU assistance
provided by the European Commission.[73]
I attach a chart giving updated figures for
humanitarian assistance, reconstruction assistance and support
to the Kosovo budget. The figures for contributions to the UN
and OSCE, to KFOR/KVM, diplomatic missions and other costs were
correct. The European Commission is currently collating updated
aggregate figures for member states' bilateral contributions.
I will forward this information to you as it is available.
I also attach a chart showing the rate of disbursement
of EC funds.
You also asked about the number of international
police in Kosovo. As of 17 April, 2,898 police were deployed in
Kosovo from 44 UN member states.
