The present range of costs per visit
There are six Protection Division visitors and
nine Receivership Division visitors. There are also five medical
visitors who carry out approximately 92 visits a year.
Protection Division visitors are paid £65
for a normal visit, £80 for a special visit and £10
for an abortive visit. In 1999-2000 the visits budget was £130,000,
which allowed for 2,000 visits to Protection Division patients
(on the basis of £65 for each normal visit).
All Receivership Division patients are visited.
The cost of visiting is charged to patients.
