Memorandum submitted by NP Aerospace Ltd.
I refer to the Contract we won from Indonesia
for *** Vehicles for which our request for an Export Licence was
rejected and following many months of delay our appeal was also
rejected.
The delay caused considerable embarrassment
to Courtaulds/NP Aerospace Ltd. and significant costs were incurred
maintaining the capability to fulfil Contract.
From a manufacturer's standpoint it is of vital
importance that Export Licences and any Process of Appeal are
dealt with promptly: it is quite unacceptable to have to wait
approximately six months for a reply to an appeal!
