THE GOVERNMENT'S RESPONSE TO THE COMMITTEE'S EIGHTH REPORT OF
SESSION 1998-99
1. The Committee's Eighth Report of Session 1998-99,
on the Modernisation of Social Security Appeals, was agreed to
by the Committee on 20 October 1999 and published on 2 November
1999 as House of Commons Paper No. 581.
2. We have now received a letter from the Parliamentary
Under Secretary of State for Social Security,
enclosing the Government's response to the Report, both of which
are printed in the Appendix to this Special Report.
