C. GENERAL STATISTICS RELATING TO SELECT
COMMITTEES
1. Page Count
Total printing costs of Select Committees in the
financial year 1998-99 were £1,894,834.00; and, in Session
1998-99, £2,078,868.00. (The printing costs of Joint Committees
are borne by the House of Lords.)
The charging arrangements for Select Committee printing
work do not allow accurate attribution of costs to individual
Committees. A better indication of the published output of each
Committee, including Reports, Minutes of Evidence and Memoranda,
is given by the following table.
