Thank you for your letter of 15 December 2000
on the above subject matter.
In brief, the Police Federation of England and
Wales remain opposed to the proposals extending the jurisdiction
of the Ministry of Defence Police. As such and in response to
your request, I can do no better than to offer you our response
to the Governments previous consultation paper in which I trust
you will find our reservations and expectations set out in some
details (see Annex)
