Select Committee on Northern Ireland Affairs Fifth Report

Letter to the Clerk from the Northern Ireland Office

Thank you for your letter of 13 July. I am very sorry that my letter of 29 June was so delayed but I'm afraid that I can offer no good explanation: our records show that it left the Northern Ireland Office on the date it was signed. To be on the safe side, I will send future correspondence by fax.

I can confirm, as requested, that this letter, taken together with [the Northern Ireland Office's letter of 23 June] does constitute the Government's response to the Committee's Third Report.
