  The Committee deliberated.

  Mr Brian Glicksman, Treasury Officer of Accounts, was further examined.

  The Comptroller and Auditor General's report on Grants made by the National Lottery Charities Board (HC 378) was considered.

  Mr Robin Young, Permanent Secretary, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport; and Mr Timothy Hornsby, Chief Executive, the National Lottery Charities Board were examined (HC 490-i).

  Mr Keith Hawkswell, Director, the National Audit Office, was examined (HC 490-i).

  Ordered, That the draft Report be read a second time, paragraph by paragraph.

  Paragraphs 6 to 40 read and agreed to.

  Postponed paragraphs 4 and 5 read and agreed to.

  Resolved, That the Report be the Fourth Report of the Committee to the House.

  Ordered, That the Chairman do make the Report to the House.

  Ordered, That the provisions of Standing Order No. 134 (Select Committees (Reports)) be applied to the Report.
