Select Committee on Public Accounts Minutes of Evidence

APPENDIX 2

Copy of a Letter to the Clerk of the Committee from the Chief Executive of the Further Education Funding Council (PAC/2000-01/35)

The Council has been asked to clarify the years to which the figures given in paragraph 52 of the report refer. It might be helpful to the committee to have on the record the full details of the year on year changes in the number of franchised students. This illustrates the correspondence between withdrawal from franchising and overall student number reductions.
