The Committee asked for details of comparative
information on the proportion of visitors to musuems and galleries
which came from C2, D and E socio-economic groupings. The table
below highlights performance in this aspect for the financial
year 1999-2000. It compares the Victoria and Albert Musuem with
those other DCMS sponsored museums and galleries which the NAO
included in its own report as comparators.
