Select Committee on Public Administration Appendices to the Minutes of Evidence

Reply from the Prime Minister to the Chairman of the Public Administration Committee

Thank you for your letter of 8 June.

I have looked at this again, but I am afraid I can see no case for departing from the long-standing convention that Prime Ministers do not themselves give evidence to Select Committees, a position always adhered to by previous administrations.

Rt Hon Tony Blair, MP
