THIRD SPECIAL REPORT
The Science and Technology Committee has agreed
to the following Special Report:—
RESPONSES FROM THE GOVERNMENT AND FROM
CORUS PLC TO THE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE'S SECOND REPORT
ON CORUS PLC - RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
1. The Science and Technology Committee reported
to the House on Corus plc - Research and Development in its Second
Report of Session 2000-2001, published on 25 January 2001 as HC
110.
2. The Government's initial response to the Committee's
Report was received on 27 March 2001 in the form of a memorandum
to the Committee. It is reproduced as Appendix 1 to this Special
Report.
3. The Committee asked the Government for a fuller
response, addressing in more detail the concerns expressed in
the Report. The Government's further response was received on
1 May 2001, in the form of a second memorandum. This is reproduced
as Appendix 2 to this Special Report.
4. We have also received a response from Corus plc.
This is reproduced as Appendix 3 to this Special Report.
