Select Committee on Standards and Privileges Appendices to the Minutes of Evidence

APPENDIX 8

Letter to Mr Geoffrey Bindman, Bindman & Partners, Solicitors, from the Clerk of the Committee on Standards and Privileges

Thank you for your letter of today's date about Mr Price-Jones's file notes.

The Commissioner has checked the point with Mr Price-Jones. He has confirmed that, notwithstanding the reference to Beaumont Leys in the heading of the file notes, the notes themselves relate to Hamilton. Mr Price-Jones's letter of the Commissioner of 3 May 2000, which you have as Annex 121, and with which the file notes were originally sent to the Commissioner, refers specifically to "the sale of land at Hamilton to religious organisations".
