APPENDIX 10
Letter to the Parliamentary Commissioner
for Standards from Mr A P Price-Jones
You rang yesterday (6 February) seeking clarification
of the information I provided when I wrote to you last May. I
am hampered somewhat by the fact that I do not have access to
any files, but my recollection remains that the content of the
matters raised by Councillor Soulsby and referred to in the subsequent
file notes was the disposal of land at Hamilton.
I have to conclude that the heading used in the file
notes (referring to Beaumont Leysanother, but separate
area of Leicester which had been subject to considerable development)
was a slip either on my part or my personal assistant.
I hope this clarifies the position, but don't hesitate
to get back to me if you need further information.
