Letter to Mr Brian Brown from the Parliamentary
Commission for Standards
You may be aware from newspaper articles that
I am investigating allegations that Mr Tony Baldry and Mr Keith
Vaz may have breached the Code of Conduct and Rules for Members
of Parliament.
I am writing to you to request your assistance
with my enquiry.
Please would you let me know whether you were
present at any discussions, meetings or other transactions between
Mr Sarosh Zaiwalla and either Mr Vaz or Mr Baldry. In particular
were you involved in, or witness to, any financial transaction
or payment from Mr Zaiwalla to either Mr Vaz or Mr Baldry?
You may prefer to discuss these matters in the
first instance and if so please would you telephone this office
to arrange a convenient time for a telephone discussion or meeting.
