Letter to the Parliamentary Commissioner
for Standards from Claire Ward MP
Thank you for your letter dated 20 March 2000
in relation to the enquiry you are conducting into allegations
relating to Keith Vaz MP.
As you are aware, I do have papers relating
to my membership of the Labour Party inquiry team held in 1994.
However this was not an inquiry into Mr Vaz MP.
You indicated you wish to see any papers that
may relate to Keith Vaz MP.
I am now in the process of looking through the
file and ensuring that my records are complete; and I will be
able to reply to you on my return from a Select Committee visit
next week.
In the meantime I will ask my office to contact
yours to arrange a meeting for us to discuss the information you
require in the week commencing 3 April.
