Letter to Finers Stephens Innocent, Solicitors,
from the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards
Thank you for your letter of 16 June 2000. I
look forward to hearing you from you before 4pm on Monday 19 June
of the arrangements for my meeting with Mr Kapasi so that I may
report it to the Standards and Privileges Committee on Tuesday
morning, 20 June.
I am not at liberty to provide you with information
about any of the people connected with my enquiry. I have provided
Mr Kapasi with details of a letter recording a conversation, which
I received from Leicester City Council, made by Sir Peter Soulsby.
I have, of course, checked with Sir Peter that he wrote the letter.
