Annex 157
Letter to Finers Stephens Innocent, Solicitors,
from the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards
Thank you for your fax of 17.56 hours on 29
June, which I received today. I have once again tried to contact
you by telephone, but can obtain no response from your office.
I have nothing further to add to my previous
letters to you and Mr Kapasi concerning Sir Peter Soulsby who
is, are you aware, a witness to this enquiry.
My invitation to Mr Kapasi to meet me remains
urgent and I would be grateful to hear from you today to make
the arrangements. The Standards and Privileges Committee meets
tomorrow, 4 July and I am required to report to them on this matter.
