Regarding your letter dated 28 June 2000. My
replies to your queries are as follows:
1. Yes.
2. Mrs Merlyn Vaz (Keith's mother) personally
collected the cheque from my office.
3. No other donations were ever made to
any other political party or personality.
4. I do not actually know who Mr John Thomas
is. Unless you mean Councillor John Thomas, whom I vaguely know.
We only ever exchange "hello's" whenever I come across
him at some seminars, that is all. The question of any payment
to him does not arise.
