Further to my letter of 3 July, I am afraid
that I have to tell you that questions have been raised with me
about whether the cheque stub accurately describes the recipient
of this payment. I must therefore bother you with further questions
and apologise for doing so.
1. To whom was the cheque actually made
out? Please would you let me have a copy of the relevant entry
in your bank statement or provide me with a copy of the cheque
to confirm the recipient.
2. The cheque stub says "donation to
the Labour Party". Did you receive a receipt in relation
to the donation? If so, may I have a copy.
3. Please would you tell me who requested
this donation, how the request was made and for what purpose.
4. If the cheque was made out to the Labour
Party, please would you explain why the stub names Keith Vaz.
