Letter to the Parliamentary Commissioner
for Standards from Mr Keith Vaz MP
Thank you very much for ringing me back on Saturday
and for your very helpful reference to the Ninth Report. The
Sunday Telegraph is clearly in breach of paragraph 14 of the
Report. I have now written to Madame Speaker.
I have instructed Geoffrey Bindman of Bindman
and Partners to act on my behalf as I think this would assist
with the inquiry.
I enclose the material which I told you about
last week [not included]. On Saturday, I made a formal
complaint to the police in Leicestershire and I have informed
the Permanent Under Secretary at the Foreign Office. The Officers
in Leicestershire have informed me that they will contact you.
You said to me that you had sent Mr Milne's
latest letter but it has not arrived. The letter you said you
were sending to me in response to my letter to you of 2 April
also has not arrived. I look forward to receiving them both.
Thank you again for all your help.
