Second letter to the Parliamentary Commissioner
for Standards from Mr Sarosh Zaiwalla
Further to my fax of this morning my accounts
department has just informed me that having undertaken a very
careful search going back to January 1991 they have found one
entry of payment of £250 to Mr Keith Vaz MP's office by cheque
on 25th January 1993. I enclose an extract of the office cash
book showing the payment of £250 which was shown in our cash
book as a donation.
We had also in September 1994 made a payment
of £200 to publishers Wildberry for advertising in a calendar
which was connected with Mr Vaz. I cannot now recall who had asked
me to take on advertisement in the calendar but to the best of
my belief, after nearly six years, is that it was probably Mr
C B Patel of Asian Voice newspaper.
