Thank you for the copy of your draft memorandum. I acknowledge your comments therein. Previously, I was not aware of the advisability of considering a declaration when making a speech or asking a question of a general nature which might be perceived to have a vague or loose connection with some present or past interest. I will certainly be mindful of this in future.
