Letter to Mr Alex Rowley from the Parliamentary
Commissioner for Standards
I am sorry to bother you for further information
but I am afraid it is necessary. At my request you provided me
with budget projections for the Scottish Labour Party. I sent
the budget projections to the Party for clarification and have
received their reply which I attach along with my questions. I
should be grateful for any further explanation you are able to
provide on these matters. In particular, I am unclear about `f`;
perhaps you would give me your understanding of the facts as they
relate to this explanation and any other comments you wish to
make on this letter.
You also told me that Lesley Quinn had alerted you
to a financial reference for Mr Kevin Reid, which you had authorised
and which was causing Dr Reid anxiety.
I have now been provided with a copy of the reference
and attach a copy. Perhaps you would let me know whether this
was the reference you authorised and any information you are able
to give me about why it may have caused Dr Reid anxiety.
I would be grateful to receive your reply as soon
as possible as I wish to bring my enquiry to a close, but for
the sake of completeness I must say that if you have any further
information which relates to this enquiry you should let me have
it without delay.
