May I please trouble you for two further small pieces
of information:
(i) Kevin Reid was initially paid at an annual
rate of £4,000 for 15 hours per week. Was this the normal
rate for that number of hours? Was any other member of staff doing
comparable work paid at the same rate?
(ii) All three researchers received bonus payments
for their extra effort during the Scottish Parliament election
campaign in 1999. Were claims self-validated or was there some
independent check on the number of hours worked.
