Letter to the Parliamentary Commissioner
for Standards from the Rt Hon Dr John Reid MP
There are two matters I wish to raise with you. Firstly,
I have not as yet received an acknowledgement of receipt of my
submission. I trust this has in fact been received by you. Secondly,
I am interested to know when I might receive a response to the
arguments and information contained in the submission. As you
have undertaken to provide me with your draft report for my consideration
prior to publication an indication of when this might be received
would be helpful.
In this connection I enclose a copy of an article
on page 2 of today`s Daily Record (Monday 17th July). I assume
the article is incorrect in suggesting my case will not be dealt
with until the end of October. I am sure you agree that would
be an unacceptable delay. Please confirm my assumptions in this
regard (unless of course they are wrong).
