Letter to Mr John Maxton MP from the Parliamentary
Commissioner for Standards
Thank you for your letter of 2 February. I hope you
received my telephone message but I thought I should reply in
writing as well.
The complainant is Mr Dean Nelson, copy of his signed
letter attached. Mr Nelson has provided the information in this
letter and has informed me that he has taped interviews which
corroborate his allegations. I have asked him for that evidence.
I look forward to hearing from you.
(I dictated the above yesterday and have now received
your second letter. I took up this point with Mr Nelson as soon
as I received his e-mail and he informed me that he was the complainant,
not The Observer.)
