  I am writing in response to your letter to Jane Davidson AM, dated 20 July 2000, and copied to me on 24 July. As the Welsh Language Board has no formal role in promoting Wales abroad, perhaps a role could be developed for the Board to promote Wales, and in particular the tourism value of the Welsh language.
