House of Commons
The Leader of the House has announced that, subject to business, the House of Commons will rise at the end of business on Tuesday 10 April 2001 and return on Monday 23 April

House of Lords
The House of Lords will rise at the end of business on Tuesday 10 April 2001 and return on Monday 23 April
Information Office hours during the recess: Closed Thursday 12 April - Thursday 19 April inclusively , 10.00am - 4.00pm all other days
Palace of Westminster: Summer Opening
The Palace of Westminster will be open to visitors this summer from 6th August until 29th September 2001. It will be closed on Sundays, Bank Holidays and some weekday mornings. Westminster Hall
Following the decision of the House on 20 November 2000, adjournment debates in Westminster Hall will now take place between 9.30 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. on both Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Subject to the discretion of the Speaker, Tuesday and Wednesday debates will begin with two 11/2 hour debates which will be followed by three half an hour debates. The 11/2 hour and the 1 hour debates are intended for general issues to which a number of Members may wish to contribute.
