SEX DISCRIMINATION (ELECTION CANDIDATES) BILL

RESOLUTION OF THE PROGRAMMING SUB-COMMITTEE


The Programming Sub-Committee appointed by the Speaker in respect of the Bill agreed the following Resolution at its meeting on Monday 5th November (Sessional Order C relating to Programming): That—     (1)   during proceedings on the Sex Discrimination (Election Candidates) Bill the Standing Committee do meet on Tuesday at half-past Ten o'clock and on Thursdays at five minutes to Ten o'clock and at half-past Two o'clock;

    (2)   proceedings on the Bill shall, so far as not previously concluded, be brought to a conclusion at Seven o'clock on Thursday 8th November.

Mr Nick Raynsford has given notice of his intention to move a motion in the terms of the Resolution of the Programming Sub-Committee [Sessional Order C (9) relating to Programming (28th June)].

Proceedings in Standing Committee

    3.—(1)   Proceedings in the Standing Committee shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion on Thursday 8th November 2001.

    (2)   The Standing Committee shall have leave to sit twice on the first day on which it meets.
