Mr. Burstow: To ask the Secretary of State for Health what steps his Department is taking to evaluate the implementation of free personal care; and whether the views of self-funding residents will be sought. [69553]
Jacqui Smith [holding answer 12 July 2002]: The decision to make personal care free was taken by the Scottish Executive, and the evaluation of that policy will be a matter for the Scottish Executive.

treatment, (b) had been waiting for over 12 months for in-patient treatment and (c) had been waiting over 15 months for in-patient treatment, in the Mid-Essex Hospital Trust area in the last two months for which figures are available. [69029]
