Mersey Tunnels Bill - Consideration of objections to petitions against the bill

Mersey Tunnels Bill

Court of Referees - consideration of Locus Standi of petitioners

20th March 2002

The Promoters of this bill objected to the locus standi of all the petitioners. That is, they disputed the right of the petitioners to be heard by an Opposed Bill Committee for a variety of reasons.
The Court of Referees allowed the locus standi of all the petitioners except Mr William McCoy. The transcript of the hearing can be read here. A summary report of the proceedings can be read here.
