The Committee deliberated.

Resolved, That the Committee do inquire into the Government's proposals for changes to policy on gambling.—(The Chairman.)

Resolved, That the Committee do visit the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford­upon­Avon, in connection with its inquiry into arts development.—(The Chairman.)

Resolved, That the Committee do visit Manchester, in February and again in July 2002, in connection with its inquiry into the preparations for the Commonwealth Games.—(The Chairman.)
