Memorandum submitted by Durham County
Council
Durham County Council carefully considered the
Arts Council's proposals that were initially proposed in March
2001, and following a period of discussion was subsequently revised
later in the summer.
Essentially, this authority remains unconvinced
as to the value of the proposed re-organisation. Rather than
reinvent the wheel, I am attaching a copy of the Cabinet report
considered and agreed on 31 July 2001 and the response to an Arts
Council questionnaire in September.
