Select Committee on Environmental Audit Minutes of Evidence

Supplementary memorandum from Greenpeace

Letter to the Clerk of the Committee from the Campaign Director of Greenpeace

I write further to Greenpeace's submission to this inquiry to make a correction to our memorandum.

Paragraph five under the heading The Cabinet Office should read:

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) does not certify anything but a small amount of timber sold by Timbmet. Just because Timbmet sells FSC timber, this does not mean that all timber it sells is to FSC standards. In fact, no FSC timber from Timbmet was used in the Cabinet Office. Further, whilst it is true that Timbmet is a member of the WWF95+ Group that tells us nothing about the actual timber Timbmet sells for individual projects.
