Ordered, That the Government's response to the Third Report of the Committee in Session 2001-02 [Radioactive Waste: The Government's Consultation Process] be appended to the Report.—(The Chairman.)

Resolved, That the Report be the Eighth Special Report of the Committee to the House.

Ordered, That the Government's response to the Fifth Report of the Committee in Session 2001-02 [Genetically Modified Organisms] be appended to the Report.—(The Chairman.)

Resolved, That Mr Michael Jack and Mr Mark Todd do inquire on behalf of the Committee into Horticulture Research International.—(The Chairman.)

 Ordered, That Professor Penny Johnes and Dr Peter Howsam be appointed Specialist Advisers to assist the Committee in its inquiry into the Water Framework Directive.—(The Chairman.)

Royal Society Inquiry into Infectious Diseases in Livestock: Professor Sir Brian Follett, Chairman of the Inquiry, Mr Peter Allen, a farmer from Cumbria and a member of the National Farmer's Union Council, Mr David Black, a practising veterinarian from Cumbria, Professor Ian McConnell, Director of Research Department of Clinical Veterinary Medicine, University of Cambridge, and Dr Jenny Mumford, Director of Science, Animal Health Trust, Newmarket, were examined.
